Galilean Moons Villa

Named after Jupiter's spectacular moons discovered by Galileo in the 16^th century, the villa’s wall art carries on the theme of moon, cosmos and sea. The Galilean Moons villa has breathtaking allure, mystery and beauty that cannot be found anywhere else. Indoor Comfort:

For larger flexibility and privacy, the Galilean Moons villa has a split layout: It consists of 4 units (‘moons’), named after the largest moons of the planet Jupiter: Europa (218 sq m, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms) and Io (65 sq m, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) on the top floor; Also, Callisto (110 sq m, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms) and Ganymede (38 sq m, 1 bedroom/bathroom) on the ground floor. Callisto and Io are fully handicapped-accessible. For cooler days, 2 wood-burning fireplaces (Callisto & Europa) and state-of-the-art central heating keeps you warm and cozy.

On the ground floor, in front of the infinity pool overlooking the breaking waves, Callisto features a bright, comfortable living room equipped with a fireplace, a large LG TV and corner sofa, an open-plan kitchen, and a glass dining table. The large, shaded verandas at the front and side of the villa allow for spectacular views of the sea, sky and moon. They are furnished with an outside eating area and comfy furniture to enjoy the sea and pool views. Callisto has 4 bedrooms, two of which form a separate wing with a shared handicapped-accessible bathroom and two have ensuite bathrooms. The master bedroom (king-sized bed) has double doors leading to the front verandas, swimming pool and adjoining whirlpool.

The ground (pool) floor is complete with the Ganymede studio, with its private entrance off the pool terrace to the west. The studio has a comfy living room, a smart TV and a small bedroom with a double bed. The cozy living room features a corner couch, a twin sofa chair, bunk beds, as well as twin loft beds ideal for children over 6 years old (or grown-up children too!). The front patio has sea views. The back patio opens into the backyard and herb/tree gardens and secluded relaxing retreat.

Through a covered patio east of Callisto, a separate entrance leads to an elevator and indoor stairway to bring the guest to the penthouse floor: the moons of Europa and Io. A private door opens into Europa, and the visitor is immediately astounded by the panoramic views of the sea, sky, and rocky beach front. The open floor plan of Europa allows harmonious movement between all main living spaces - the living room, belvedere, dining room, and kitchen- and the large balcony.  The lovely terrace features comfortable seating and a hot tub that looks out on magnificent panoramic views of the sea, sunset, village and surrounding landscape. Even during the winter months, the spectacular panoramic views can be enjoyed from the indoors belvedere, which has no walls – only glass. A 3-face fireplace situated between the living and dining rooms emits serenity and warmth throughout the cooler months of the year. A large smart TV offers relaxed entertainment. The main décor theme of Europa: blue hues, contemporary layout and furniture, solid wood, marble and glass throughout.

Europa features two spacious suites (east and west wings), each with king bed and private bathroom, all with great sea views (yes, even the baths have views to the sea!). The spacious master bedroom with en suite bathroom, situated on the southeast corner of the villa, includes a king size bed, a private balcony, and an amazing view of the Mediterranean Sea. There is an additional master bathroom that features a whirlpool tub with color therapy and a separate shower with hydro-massage. The second suite/wing faces the amazing west coastline, and has its own private bathroom. Europa also has state-of-the-art, modern kitchen facilities (ice maker, wine cooler, grill, separate bar sink, gas and electric cook-top), as well as filter coffee maker and espresso/cappuccino coffee maker.

A second private door next to the stairs opens into the guest wing, the moon of Io, with 2 additional bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, an additional kitchen, and a large veranda overlooking the back gardens. A smaller balcony faces south at the Mediterranean Sea. The main décor theme of the Io residence: colorful sea creatures and blue teal hues throughout.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms:

All 10 bedrooms have superior quality COCO-MAT mattresses and top mattresses, individually controlled air conditioning and heating, several closets and a wide selection of cushions, made of all natural primary materials providing the best sleeping experience possible.

Bedroom 1 (Europa penthouse): The Master Bedroom features a King-size bed (1,80 x 2,00) and en suite bathroom with a standup shower. It also features a large wall-to-wall closet, with a safe deposit box, and a wall-mounted LG TV. Step out onto your private balcony which houses two comfy lounge chairs to be greeted by uninterrupted views of the sea and moon.

Bedroom 2 (Europa penthouse): This Bedroom features a Queen-size bed (1,60 x 2,00), with access to a one-of-a-kind bathroom with a hydromassage bathtub with color therapy with sea views, as well as a standup shower with hydromassage. It also features a large wall-to-wall closet, with a safe deposit box, and a wall-mounted LG TV. Even though this bedroom faces the backyard garden mostly, the front window has ample sea-views.

Bedroom 3 (Europa penthouse): Another en suite Bedroom features a King-size bed (1,80 x 2,00), a private bathroom with a standup shower and sink. It also features a white closet with vanity, a sitting area, a safe deposit box, and a wall-mounted LG TV. A large wall-to-ceiling window ensures unobstructed views of the southwest rocky Cretan seashore.

Bedroom 4 (Io penthouse): An en suite Bedroom with a balcony and beautiful sea views features a Double-size bed (1,40 x 2,00), en suite bathroom with a standup shower, a closet and safe deposit box, and a wall-mounted LG TV. Step out onto your private balcony to be greeted by uninterrupted views of the sea and moon.

Bedroom 5 (Io penthouse): This bedroom is mostly for children with its sofa bed that opens into 2 single beds and a set of bunk beds. Its window overlooks the backyard gardens. It also features a closet, safe deposit box, and a wall-mounted LG TV. This bedroom is served by the second bathroom of Io, which is wheelchair-accessible.

Bedroom 6 (pool floor, Callisto): Another inviting bedroom awaits, featuring a King-size bed (1,80 x 2,00 m), with access to a shared, wheelchair-accessible bathroom with a standup shower. It also features a wall-mounted LG TV, a full closet with mirror and safe, and vibrant views of the outdoor whirlpool, pool and Mediterranean Sea beyond.

Bedroom 7 (pool floor, Callisto): This Bedroom features a Queen-size bed (1,60 x 2,00) with access to the wheelchair-accessible bathroom with a standup shower. It also features a vanity/desk, a closet, a wall-mounted TV, and a west-facing window featuring sea views. Up to two additional guests can be accommodated into a wall-folded single bed and a chair bed.

Bedroom 8 (pool floor, Callisto): This bedroom features a Queen-size bed (1,60 x 2,00) and en suite bathroom with a standup shower. It also features a closet, a vanity and a wall-mounted TV. Also, this bedroom boasts a private patio overlooking the backyard gardens.

Bedroom 9 (pool floor, Callisto): This bedroom features bunk beds and en suite bathroom. One of the beds folds on the wall, so an adult can also sleep comfortably here.

Bedroom 10 (pool floor, Ganymede): This is a private en suite studio off the pool terrace featuring a small bedroom with a double bed, as well as a cozy living room with a wall-mounted TV and a comfortable corner sofa, bunk beds and a chair bed on the main area. A mini-fridge and desk space ensure a comfortable private stay away from the gathering areas of the larger moons.

Outdoor indulgence:

Step outside into the enchanting outdoor area of the villa, where every detail is designed to offer relaxation and breathtaking views. Surrounded by manicured tamarack trees and a rocky coast with lounges, this expansive outdoor space is designed as your private setting for sun-soaked days and relaxed evenings. This space is a true sanctuary, providing an idyllic setting to soak up the sun, enjoy al fresco dining, and admire stunning sea views.

At the heart of this outdoor paradise is a pristine 52 sq.m infinity pool (1.5m-deep), its sparkling waters inviting you to take a refreshing dip or simply float and unwind. The pool's design seamlessly blends with the surrounding landscape, creating a tranquil oasis that reflects the azure hues of the sea beyond. Next to the pool, a built-in whirlpool with hydromassage (3 high-tech swim jets) is perfect for exercise or relaxation. The pool and whirlpool can also be heated upon request, with an additional daily charge. The area around the pool is equipped with day beds, loungers, and poolside shower, all having direct unobstructed, mesmerizing sea views of Libyan sea, evidence to Crete’s world-famous element: the clear blue waters.

The poolside area in front of the sea is thoughtfully equipped with 14 sunbeds, side tables and 2 wooden hammocks that invite you to relax and enjoy the warm days either under the bright sun or below shady tamarack trees. At night, sleep under a thousand stars and enjoy the cool summer breeze.

Several seating and lounging areas are placed all around the terraces. A shaded bar with a sink and ice-maker, high-table and 4 stools create the perfect spot to enjoy refreshing drinks under the stars. Next to the bar, there is an outdoor seating area with solid wood furniture combining a dining table with sitting space, as well as a large round lounger for extra comfort. A ping pong table, as well as a piano offer interested guests further enjoyment and relaxation.

A dedicated BBQ pavillion, complete with a sink, charcoal grill, and gas cooktop, accompanied by a hand-made stone dining table and benches, offers a delightful setting for cooking and dining. A second large dining area by an adjacent covered patio can sit up to 25 guests for meals and wine-tasting. Last but not least there is a back yard garden with local fruit trees, banana trees and Cretan herbs. The characteristic natural terrain of the area is organically preserved inside the well-kept gardens, adorned with Lemon and Pomegranate trees, low bushes, and local Cretan herbs; allowing you to enrich your cooking and cocktail experience.

Parking space for one car is available inside the premises. Rest of the cars can be parked in a private parking lot by the main road. An outdoor gym beneath a covered patio, equipped with treadmill, static bicycle and exercise mattresses, will keep you in optimum health.

The complex has its own water (private well and underground tank), electricity (solar panels, generator), central vacuum, central heating, and cooling that can be independently controlled in each room. In addition, the complex has its own water treatment process that provides the healthiest and tastiest water throughout the villa, including kitchens and bathrooms. There is no need for water bottles.
