Calypso Villa

The 330 sq. m. property spans 2 levels and can accommodate 14 guests comfortably (with flexibility for 17). Six en suite master bedrooms, an infinity pool with adjoining hot tub, outdoor BBQ kitchen, firepit, multiple steam fireplaces, gym, and man-made waterfalls are among the villa’s highlights—enhanced by the soothing sound of the sea. The ground floor houses the living room, dining room, kitchen and two bedrooms. A modern stairway leads to the penthouse level, featuring an additional three en suite bedrooms and a sunroom with 270 deg sea views that can also serve as a seventh bedroom. An en suite guest studio by the front entrance on the ground floor provides additional private accommodation separate from the main house.

Named after Odyssey’s beautiful nymph and sea goddess Calypso, the villa is themed after water adventures and sailing. The water theme reverberates throughout the villa with 2 waterfalls, engraved compass on the atrium’s floor, and an engraved anchor on the pool’s floor. Indoor Comfort:

Entering through a grand lighted glass pivot door, a world of comfort and luxury unfolds. The open-plan living space features more than 3 m ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea. At the heart of the villa, a striking glass atrium reveals a spherical fountain set atop an engraved compass—a homage to the sea nymph, Calypso—surrounded by glass walls that bring sea and sky indoors. The light-filled interiors combine stone, black tile, and glass for a modern yet timeless aesthetic. From the foyer, a sweeping lighted staircase and two bedrooms lie to the right, with the kitchen and dining area to the left, while straight ahead a cascading fountain/waterfall within the atrium draws the eye toward the endless horizon beyond. Through the adjoining sunken living room, panoramic sea views take center stage, creating an immediate sense of awe and serenity. Large glass doors offer an unbelievable spectacle of the sea in front and open up to a spacious veranda in front of the pool.

An elegant solid Meranti wood dining table 4.10-meter-long for 16 awaits in the dining area, providing an elegant space for indoor dining, where every meal is accompanied by the awe-inspiring backdrop of the endless blue of the Mediterranean Sea. The combination of natural light and carefully selected interior lighting creates a warm and inviting ambiance, perfect for both formal dinners and relaxed, casual meals. Large doors open up to the outdoor kitchen and dining terrace, seamlessly blending the indoor and outdoor, allowing the flow of fresh air and natural light. When all doors are open, the indoor dining area blends together with the waterfall atrium and the outdoor dining terrace. Full of light and air, the living area is a joy for social gatherings.

Past the atrium and dining area, you'll discover the spacious sunken living room with ramp access adorned with plush, inviting sofas and an expansive smart TV complete with a sound system, creating the perfect ambiance for relaxation and entertainment indoors and outdoors. The living area is open, with seamless indoor/outdoor connection, offering a large stylish corner sofa and lighted marble coffee table. BOSE speakers ensure an excellent acoustic experience all over the ground floor, indoors and outdoors.

Attention has been paid to every little detail to ensure maximum comfort. All 6 en suite bedrooms are equipped with high quality mattresses, individually controlled air conditioning, lighted closets, and a wide selection of cushions, all designed to provide the best sleeping experience possible. Top quality linen, towels, bathrobes, slippers and bath toiletries are provided for all guests.

The fully equipped gourmet kitchen, complete with induction hobs, modern ventilation, built-in appliances, and a wine cooler display, makes self-catered holidays effortless. Blending in harmony with the contemporary décor of the villa, tall wooden kitchen cabinets bring centuries-old Venetian history into the modern era (the wood of these cabinets comes from old Venetian palaces refurbished to modern time appeal). An island with four sleek stools offers the perfect spot for a morning coffee, while direct access to the outdoor kitchen, dining area, and BBQ ensures meals can be enjoyed without losing sight of the unobstructed sea views. Together the indoor and outdoor kitchen can meet even the highest culinary standards of chefs we can coordinate to cook for you.

Floating stairs lead to the penthouse level, where glass panels span the full two-story wall, overlooking an olive tree orchid and the sea beyond. On either side of the central landing are three master bedrooms, each with sliding glass doors that open onto a private balcony with seating—an exceptional retreat overlooking the sea and coastline beyond. The three modern en suite bedrooms feature king-size beds (1.80 x 2.00) positioned to face the water, while glass-paneled bathrooms offer the indulgence of stunning views even as you bathe.

Flowing seamlessly between the bedrooms, a second living area sunroom offers comfortable seating, arranged to take full advantage of the panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling glass windows spanning 270 degrees. These windows not only flood the room with natural light but also seamlessly connect the indoors with the expansive outdoor, giving you the feeling of floating over the pool and endless sea. The living room area also features a large smart TV, a steam fireplace, and a white sofa that can be converted into a comfy Queen-size bed.

Next to the expansive ground floor terraces by the front entrance lies a private studio, with a modern Queen-size bed, full bathroom facilities and a comfy sofa that can be converted into two single beds or a queen bed. 

In addition, an external staircase leads to the lower level, where guests can find a private studio with a large TV with gaming, and full bathroom facilities. A comfy sofa bed can sleep additional guests or assistants.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms:

Each bedroom has been crafted to provide ultimate comfort and relaxation. Outfitted with luxurious high-quality mattresses, lush robes, and slippers, every detail has been carefully considered to create a serene retreat where you can unwind in complete tranquility. 

- One of the en suite bedrooms on the ground floor offers direct access to the pool and outdoor beds, has beautiful pool and sea views, and is (along with its bathroom) wheelchair-accessible. The en suite bathroom has a standup shower. This bedroom also features a modern lighted closet with built-in steam fireplace and a full-length mirror. For a truly indulgent experience, the bedroom opens directly onto the pool area and is gracefully enveloped by a plunge pool expanse with Vondom Stone lounges to unfold and unwind. A small cozy sitting area with Vondom Surf seaters completes the essence of your relaxation.

- A second en suite bedroom on the ground floor features two connected single beds (which can be converted into a king-size bed with a mattress topper upon request), a modern lighted closet and exits to a private balcony next to olive trees. Step out onto the private balcony, equipped with a charming bamboo seating area, and revel in magnificent Cretan olive garden vistas. The en suite bathroom features a rain shower with color therapy, as well as a glass wall and beautiful wall LED lighting connecting the bedroom and bathrooms spaces.

- A WC is available on the ground level. In it you can also find a laundry closet with washer and dryer.

- Separate from the main building is an autonomous guest studio with its own private entrance. The studio presents a spacious bedroom, complete with a comfortable Queen-size (1.60x2.00) bed, a lounge area with sofa bed (opening into either two single beds or a queen bed) where extra guests can be accommodated, a rotatable LG TV, wardrobe and en suite bathroom. A mini-fridge and a Nespresso machine are also at your disposal. The studio’s entrance is through a terrace with pergola-hung swings, lounges and a large stone waterfall.

- Two of the master bedrooms on the penthouse floor feature a King-size bed (1,80 x 2,00) and offer spectacular 180-degree views of the sea and rocky landscape of southeast Crete. Each bedroom exits to a private balcony with spectacular sea views, equipped with a seating area with 2 bean bag loungers and outdoor sofa tables. Both en suite bathrooms have separate rain showers with color therapy and jetted tubs for ultimate relaxation, all with outstanding sea views.

- Behind the stairway unfolds another master bedroom on the penthouse floor, a true haven of elegance. Indulge in the comfort of a king-size bed measuring 1.80x2.00m, complemented by a seating area, a smart TV and a wardrobe. The en suite bathroom features a stand-up rain shower with color therapy and double sinks. Large windows offer captivating sea views, and the bedroom provides access to a private balcony adorned with a comfy seating area.

- The cozy penthouse living area/sun room with spectacular 270-degree sea views, invites you to unwind with a queen sofa bed and a large TV. Featuring large puffs and a comfortable sofa, it’s the ultimate space for relaxation and gaming. A selection of board games, chess, tic tac toe boards and books are available to set the perfect mood as you can also keep your body and mind active by taking advantage of the fitness patio with gym and sauna on the terrace of the Penthouse floor.

Outdoor indulgence:

If the inside of Calypso delights, the exterior will help realize its full potential, evoking the spirit and cosmopolitan charm. It is a true paradise where relaxation and entertainment effortlessly merge. At the heart of the outdoor space lies a waterfront, sparkling, salt-water infinity pool (45 sq meters) and beside the pool, a 6-seater hot tub. Built for relaxation, the poolside area includes multiple day beds, metal lounges, and a poolside shower.

Take al fresco dining to the next level with the outdoor pizza oven and outdoor gas BBQ, and gas cooker, while still having direct access to the main kitchen indoors. A shaded bar with sink, ice-maker, dishwasher, stools and a mini fridge allow you to enjoy refreshing drinks while cooking. Next to the outdoor kitchen, which is a chef’s dream, lies a spacious dining table for 20 guests. The outdoor kitchen and dining have both a beautiful wooden pergola, providing natural shade during the warm hours of the day.

The Villa’s large glass openings in the main living and dining areas blend indoor and outdoor living by creating an airy, connected space. You will feel as though you are spending the entire day by the sea while in the comfort of a homey environment. BOSE speakers ensure an excellent acoustic experience all over the property, indoors and outdoors. Several seating and lounging areas are placed all around the terraces. Lounging outdoor seating areas between the pool and the dining area feature plush sofas, armchairs, and even a hammock, ensuring plentiful spaces for leisure and repose. A second shaded seating area by the front entrance with comfortable sectional lounges with a firepit invites you to sleep under a thousand stars and enjoy the cool summer breeze.

The outdoor experience continues in a large pergola-covered terrace on the Penthouse floor. Nearby, you will find the spa room. The spa area is designed for pure indulgence, featuring a luxurious 5-seat sauna where you can unwind and let the stress melt away. Last but not least, unwind in the inviting gazebos by the sea. This serene spot with direct water access invites you to relax and savor the tranquil surroundings.

The entire 300 sq.m. outdoor area is fully fenced, offering total privacy to our guests. With the multiple patios, the exterior landscape allows our guests to share in both social moments and personal quiet time with places to relax and unwind independently.

Parking space for 2 cars under the shade is also available inside the premises. Additional parking is available by the main parking area.
